Kitten Care

Here a few tips to help you with your new baby:

First - Congratulations! You have a beautiful, loving new baby to spoil...lets get started on their care and health:

1. Your new baby will need to be brushed at least two to three times per week, it keeps their coats smooth and silky and is very relaxing to them.

2. Although they may not enjoy it at first, it is best to bathe your kitten once a week, especially when young. The more you do it when they are a baby, the easier they handle it as an adult.

3. Eye care is very important for Persians, especially those with white coats. Their tear ducts often become clogged and produce a yellow or brown discharge. Daily cleaning with a baby wipe will keep this area looking great. You can also visit your local pet store for special formulas if you prefer.

4. There is not a specific brand of cat food a Persian requires, although I highly recommend using an indoor and hairball control formula.

5. Your kitten will need to be taken to the vet for their shots between six and eight weeks of age. Check ups are recommended twice for the first year (once will be done before they come to you ) and annually after that.

6. Love and giving attention are the most important things you can do to care for your new kitten, they return it in abundance!
